Everyone should feel comfortable in the Online Community. If someone’s posts or replies are bothering you, you can choose to Mute or Ignore them.

(blue star) Mute: Stops notifications about a person’s posts, replies, or mentions. You’ll still see their posts if you browse the community, but they won’t pop up in your notifications.

(blue star) Ignore: Hides everything they post, reply, or mention from your view. It’s like they’re not there at all.

How to Mute or Ignore someone from their profile

You can manage these settings in two ways: from a person’s profile or directly in your Preferences.

  1. Visit their profile: Click on the name or picture of the user you want to mute or ignore. This will open their profile page.

  2. Change notification settings: Look for the button that says “Normal” (or has a bell icon) near the top of their profile.

How to Mute or Ignore someone from your Preferences

  1. Go to your Preferences: Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner, then click on the grey person icon on the right-hand side of the menu, then select Preferences.

  1. Open the Users section: In the second tab menu, click Users.

  1. Once you’ve finished, click the blue ‘Save Changes’ button.
