How to change your home screen and default view

What this guide is about

By default, the Online Community shows different topics arranged by Category. However, you can change your view to see the topics that are most active, latest, or most popular.

This guide will show you how to:

  • Understand the different views available.

  • Change your default home page view.

What views are available?

You can switch between different views using the buttons at the top of the Online Community. The different views are:

Topics with the most recent replies and new activity at the top

Topics sorted by when they were first posted

Topics you haven’t read yet

Top

The most popular topics based on activity and engagement

Clicking between these will only change your view of posts right at that moment, the next time you look at the home page, you will see the posts organised by Category which is the default. If you want to customise your homepage, please see the below instructions on how to change your default home page view.

How to change your default home page view

Follow these steps to update your home screen:

  1. Click on your user profile picture or initial in to top right corner.

  2. Click the grey person icon and then the Preferences option.

     

  3. Choose Interface on the secondary tab menu.

     

  4. Scroll down and look for the Default Home Page menu.

  5. Click the dropdown and select your preferred option:

  • Categories (default view: shows all categories).

  • Latest (shows topics with recent replies first).

  • New (sorts topics by when they were first posted).

  • Unread (shows only topics you haven’t read yet).

  • Top (shows the most popular topics based on activity).

  1. Lastly, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue Save Changes button.
