Stroke Helpline: Information and Support

If you or someone you know has been affected by a stroke, or if you want to learn how to reduce your risk of stroke, the Stroke Helpline is here to provide information, support, and someone to talk to.

It's normal to have a lot of questions about the effects of stroke and living well after a stroke. We have a lot of information available on our website in our Information and support section.

What the Stroke Helpline offers

If you want to speak with someone over the phone, our Stroke Helpline is a safe and supportive place where you can find information, practical advice, and emotional support.

The Helpline team can:

  • Answer questions about stroke and its effects.

  • Provide guidance on what happens after a stroke, including treatment and recovery.

  • Offer information on help and support available for stroke survivors, carers, and families.

  • Listen to you if you need someone to talk to.

  • Support your emotional well-being, whether you are a stroke survivor, a carer, or a loved one.

📌 The Helpline team will aim to respond within five working days.

Regular opening hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm

  • Saturday: 10 am to 1 pm

  • Sunday: Closed

Opening hours are subject to change according to UK public holidays.
