What this guide is about

If you want more privacy, you can hide your profile so other members cannot see it.

This guide will show you how to:

  • Hide your profile step by step.

  • Understand what happens when you hide your profile.

What happens when you hide your profile?

  • Your profile, posts, and activity from your profile will be private, no one other than you will be able to view it. Anyone logged in or logged out of the forum will not be able to view your profile.

  • You can still post and join discussions like normal and your profile picture will still be viewable. Members can still DM you and vice versa.

  • Nothing else changes how you use the Online Community, it just means that members will not be able to see your profile information or activity.

How to hide your profile

  1. Click on your profile icon, then click on the grey person icon you will see a menu item called 'Preferences'.

  1. Once you’re in Preferences, click ‘Interface’ in the left menu.

  1. Scroll down to the bottom section called ‘Other’. You’ll see an option that says “Hide my profile and presence features.” Tick the box next to it.

  1. Scroll down and click ‘Save Changes’ to make sure it’s set!

Now, your profile is hidden, and no one else in the community can see it! You’ll still be able to join in as usual, but your details stay private.
