You can manage these settings in two ways: from a person’s profile or directly in your Preferences.

Option 1: From their profile

  1. Visit their profile: Click on the name or picture of the user you want to mute or ignore. This will open their profile page.

  2. Change notification settings: Look for the button that says “Normal” (or has a bell icon) near the top of their profile.

...

  • Mute: Stops notifications but doesn’t hide their posts.

  • Ignore: Hides everything, and you can choose how long to ignore them:

    • 1 day

    • 1 week

    • 1 month

    • Forever

Option 2: From your Preferences

  1. Go to your Preferences: Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner, then click on the grey person icon on the right-hand side of the menu, then select Preferences.

  • Who can Ignore?
The Ignore feature is usually available only to all users.

  • Muting is available to everyone
Anyone can mute another user, regardless of their trust level.

  • No notifications
When you mute or ignore someone, they won’t be notified.

  • When to report
If a user’s behaviour violates community guidelines, muting or ignoring them won’t solve the problem for others. Please report them to a moderator for further action.
